# How the AI Works

**INK AI looks back to predict the next word.**

For Example:

> *Today is John's 7th birthday. He is very happy. Mom got him a cake with*

Let's see what the AI thinks the next word should be:

- 7 (55% likely)
- his (22% likely)
- seven (13% likely)
- candles (7% likely)
- chocolate (1% likely)

The AI will go with "7" because it's the most likely and repeat the process:

> *Today is John's 7th birthday. He is very happy. Mom got him a cake with 7*

- candles (99% likely)

This time the AI is super sure that the next word should be candles, so we'll go with "candles" and repeat the process:

> *Today is John's 7th birthday. He is very happy. Mom got him a cake with 7 candles*

- *. (51% likely)*
- *on (42% likely)*
- *and (4% likely)*

*For this next part, AI will choose to pick the "."  thereby ending the sentence.*

*The final sentence looks like this:*

> *Today is John's 7th birthday. He is very happy. Mom got him a cake with 7 candles.*

And just like that, INK AI has completed the thought of your sentence based on your previous text!
